He had completely changed our thoughts about force and gravity. The Podcast at the bottom is an interview. It will sound like a real live talk show with audience, music, and exciting features. I wish you all to enjoy the interview in the podcast.

1. What did I feel successful doing during the process of the project? What am I proud of?

I think that I have done a great job. I am proud to have achieved the hardest project I have ever done in Social Studies. I have tried so hard to get an easy information for young audience, tried hard to get a good picture, spend hours to get all of my citations right, tried so hard to make my project look perfect, spend at least 4 hours on my costume, spend half my life to get a good music, and managed to get my project organized until the Medieval Fair. I believe that I have accomplished what not many people could have managed to finish. I am extremely proud of myself.

2. What new skills did I value learning?

I have learned two things: By some of my mistakes, I learned that this is how High School projects are going to be like. This was kind of a practice to get myself adjust to hard projects. The other thing I learned from my mistake, is to be more organized. I was organized but I could have done a better job. For example, I always forget to cite my sources so I end up going back to that page and getting URL. This wasted a lot time from me.

3. What was challenging during the process of completing the project? With what did I struggle?

At first, I have got information that was too much for young children. In another words, I have wasted more than 6 hours of my effort. Also, I have made some mistakes with my assignments so I had to do it all over again. But, all of the mistakes gave me a practice of what it’s going to be when I have a High School Project. So I believe it wasn’t completely a waste of time. The real problem was that I kept getting better and better ideas. So I kept changing some parts of my topic, which made me more tiring, and exhausting.

4. How could I have improved my process so that I would have been more effective?

First, I would plan how far I would do with my project. Even though I would get a better idea, I wouldn’t change it. Second, I would never ever forget to cite any sources I use. Third, I would make a list of what to do and what I don’t have to do. This way, I will be organized and won’t have problems messing up my project. Finally, I would always check with what I have to do and see if the assignment I am doing is correct. If I can always memorize this and never forget to do them, I can get a good grade and have a comfortable way of finishing my assignment.

5. Did I effectively create an age-appropriate presentation and game for the elementary students? (please explain how you know it was appropriate or how you could have changed it to be more appropriate)

I believe I had an appropriate information for younger kids. But I thought that wasn’t enough, so I also made a bonus Archery game. Only one group did my actual game, and the rest of the audience didn’t even read my persuasive letter or play the actual game. They were only interested in the archery game. Worst of all, they wanted candy so badly, that I had used up all of the candies and I still didn’t have enough for everyone. So what I am thinking, I would suggest my teacher to have an assigned group to each topic. Then, the assigned audience can view only one of our projects and games. That way, we can get a limited amount of prizes since we know how many people is going to be view our projects. They will also play the real, informative game since they were assigned to do it. What I am saying, is that we have to have a assigned number of people to view our projects.

1. What did I feel successful doing during the process of the project? What am I proud of?

I feel successful about completing my wikispaces, research, and the jeopardy game. Everything I did, I thought it was really good and successful and I belive that I have tried my best on everything. What I am really proud of than anything is the wikispaces page. I feel that my Roman Road page is really well organized and creative(the title). By the way, the wikispaces was getting graded so I feel I am getting a pretty good grade.

2. What new skills did I value learning?

I haven’t tried wikisapaces, or using my blog or using a powerpoint presentation doing research on a topic or playing the Jeopardy game for a very long time. But since I did everyone of these I hadn’t did for a long time in just on subject, I feel very good to finishing these things at the same time and at the same subject. Since I already did all of the things on Roman civilization, I didn’t really learn any new skills but it was still a good practice after a long time.

3. What was challenging during the process of completing the project? With what did I struggle?

My challenge was about the information research. My topic was about Roman roads so I didn’t really find much about the topic. But luckily, I did manage to find out as much as information I can on Roman roads from a book and a website. Still, the information wasn’t enough so I had to add a little bit of more words to make it longer. It did have an effect because the paragraphs were about 1 5/2times bigger than the original.

4. How could I have improved my process so that I would have been more effective?

I would try and choose a topic that I knew the most and better than other topics so that I don’t have as much difficulty of researching it like gladiator, military, popeii etc. Also I could improve on my pictures but it there wasn’t much pictures of ancient roman roads, so there was about 3-6 good pictures about roman roads. I could have drawn the roads if I had more time.

What is the issue?

A girl about 3 years old and Asian appearance was seen in a video camera in a railway station in Melbourne. A man also looked like an Asian led her. They entered the station and then the man let go of the girl and left her alone. The police wonder if the man was her father. The girl is now in a foster home. The owner of the foster home, Christina Asquini, said the girl was in good health and pleaded for family members to make contact.

Who is affected?

The little girl is affected because she is the main character in this situation. The man who left her is affected because he just left a 3 year-old child in a railway station. The investigators are affected because they are trying to figure out this mystery.

What would I do if I was directly involved?

If I were the investigator, I would ask the mystery girl who was the man with you. Then I would bring the child home, ask them about the story and get this problem figured out.

What is the issue?

The issue is that in Afghanistan, two U.S troops were killed by a Afghan soldier the day before outside a top-security prison was mentally ill. The gunman was shot and died by another Afghan troops in Pul-e-Charkhi prison. Then the Afghan troop was known to wound another two U.S. soldiers.

Who is involved?

The two U.S. troops who died

The other two U.S. troops who are wounded

The Afghan troop (gunman who killed the U.S. soldiers)

The Afghan troop (the troop that killed the other troop in Pul-e-Charkhi prison)

Who is affected and how?

The two U.S. troops who are wounded are affected because they might have seen the figure of the Afghan troop so they might be able to describe the Afghan troop. The Afghan who killed in the Pul-e-Charkhi prison is affected because he might have killed him because he is a terrorist or because he knew what had happened.

What would I do if I was diretly involved?

I would either send less troops or send more troops. Because the more I send, the more the soldiers will get killed. If I send less troops, the death of the soldiers might decrease but then the murder might get stronger. Or I could personally see the organization of the group (if there really is) and ask what they want and why they are killing our people. Or if this is involved with the government, I could go talk to them and settle this problem.

Well, let’s think what this sentence means. It means that if all of the parts do not work out then their is no whole. Well first of all, this statement is true because if there is no Scretery General or Security Counci, it cannot work into a whole. And this statement does not suit to do UN because when people ignore or judge the resolution against, then the power of the UN will might fall apart.

Today, everyone’s speech/presentaion was terrific. I think my speech was fine and my mom and I had to spend the night making the custome. Everyone’s opening was excellent. Everone’s custome were great and some were funny especially Nick’s wig and his custome looked like ancient Rome armor. Some people’s topc is about the dynasties, pharows, and anicient gods. I had a chance to listen to everyone’s speech but I am only going to put some of them. Set was a evil god and he fought with his own brother for 48 years until Osiris died. Ramsas was a great pharow and a great commander. He led his army almost half of Egypt and he had about 20 wifes and 100 children WOW!

What would you change to improve your speech/presentation if you were to do the assignment again?

I would really like to change my opening (introduction) becaue it sounded completely common. I would also like to change the ending by putting some details like: Beware, I am powerful enough to kill you all therefore I am the god of dead!

Hello. I am one of the most powerful gods, who mummified the great Pharos. My name is Anubis. My father has passed down my job. My job is related to anything with death. Every place in Egypt honors and worships me and needs me. I was worshiped for more than 4000 years. Cynopolis is my cult center.

You might know my job. I am the god of mummification, lord of the dead and the underworld, and the guard of cemetery and famous mummies. I have other names because of my jobs: Anpu, Inpum, Ienpw, and Imeat.

I started in the fields of Egypt where I was born. My mother is Nepthys. My father is either Set or Osiris. People say my father is mostly Set because he would need darkness of night to take him to the world of the dead. But my job was same as Osiris so I believe my father is Osiris.

I have the body of a human but a head of a dog. My head is black because it represents the position of dead. I wear bracelets in my wrist and upper arms. I wear a necklace and a cloth that wraps my legs. The most important thing is the long stick that represents.

People of Egypt use my skills in religious events. People makes me into statues and puts me in the city entrance and the entrance to the mummy to fight off evil spirits. That’s how much I am needed for protection.

What new Information has emerged?

The Global Warming alert is getting worse. Scientists did lots of research and made a shocking discovery. The report said that 30 percent of the world’s coastlines could be lost by 2080. In Mexico City, scientists think that global warming could destroy the Brazilian rain forest up to 30 percent and by 2080, ocean levels are rising up to 4.3 feet. By 2080, tens and hundreds millions of people could suffer from this situation.

What did you find interesting about this topic?

I was both shocked and interested (scared) that Global Warming is getting worse than I thought. In 73 years, millions of people suffering from hunger, thirst, weather, this is getting really bad. Lots of people are already suffering painfully from other countries but by 2080, it is going to kill them.

What did you think about the initial blog posting?

I liked how Willemijin commented about the how she is going to stop this situation by putting up posters and recycling things. She had good pictures, and I liked how she showed that in which country, the temperature is rising (the second picture). She had posted up a very informational article that we all have to be aware and that helps us to do something to prevent Global Warming. She just has a few mistakes and she did a very good job on her presentation.
